Flying Fish Boat

This unique three-place wing-in-ground-effect (WIG] boat is available for immediate sale or trade.

Based on Dr. Lippisch's WIG design, The Flying Fish is 90 percent complete. With a bit of effort, you could soon have it on the water or display. Or, if you wish, you could make a few design modifications and turn it into the most original go-fast boat on the water. The Flying Boat is one of only a handful of similar craft in the world.

Because of its detachable wings, The Flying Fish is easily stored and transported, either for personal use, or to deliver it for use as a dramatic and crowd-pleasing static display at malls, boat shows, opening events, or any special promotion. After five years of loving and pain-staking work, The Flying Boat was only a short ways from completion when I was involved in a motorcycle accident that has left me physically unable to finish it. I’m interested in selling it, or trading it for a light plane, RV motor home, or boat.

The construction is well detailed in photos, a few of them posted here. CAD drawings, files, original calculations, are all available. In addition, I will be available for consultation. It is my dream to see The Flying Fish in the water.

Relatively little is left to be done — a paint job (most is in finished primer), some interior work, hanging the engine, etc. The wings are detachable, and the width is under 8’6" so the craft can be easily trailered.
